From Concept to Creation — Bringing Your Ideas to Life

Matt is a designer at heart with more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry. At Rogue Photonics, we love turning great ideas into reality. Whether you're developing an innovative new product, bringing an invention to life, or simply looking to build something for a personal hobby project, we're excited to help make it happen.

Creative design backed by engineering expertise.

Using industry-leading design tools, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Cadence Allegro, and OrCAD, we transform concepts into practical, manufacturable designs. Working in both 3D modeling and 2D drafting environments, we provide detailed engineering drawings, realistic 3D renderings, and digital files ready for 3D printing, CNC machining, and other manufacturing processes.

More than just design — we build, test, and refine.

Our capabilities extend well beyond the computer screen. With a fully equipped prototyping lab, we can take your project from the design stage into physical development. We build and integrate mechanical systems, precision optical assemblies, electrical components, and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).

From the first sketch to a working prototype, Rogue Photonics provides the creativity, engineering experience, and hands-on capabilities to help move your idea forward.

Have an idea? Let's make it real.

Product Design & Development

We take on as large of a role as is required to assist in developing products such as lasers, flashlights, food handling, safety equipment, manufacturing tooling, recreational products, and others. Matt began his technology career in the manufacturing arena, and thus honors his roots by incorporating 'design for manufacturing' principles with new product development.

Electrical

As an opto-mechanical engineer, Matt has decades of hands-on experience in both the manufacturing and R&D environments. He has worked in all phases from concept to production.

We have developed high power illumination products (a.k.a. flashlights) along with both hand-held or mountable in both visible and infrared laser aimers & illuminators.

Modern devices rely heavily on electronics. We can design your printed circuit board (PCB), including layout and prototype assembly using surface mount or through hole technology.

I'm interested in hearing from you to discuss your project. Please briefly describe your project so I can be prepared to discuss as intelligently as possible.
